cheese!

a fine day for sailing
Hello and welcome to the purrrfect skirt. I found this velvet number thrifting down in SoCal over thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure Zoe actually thrifted the same one. Seems like we are both pretty stoked to have found such a sweet skirt. As soon as I figured out how easy it was to style it's been a staple for the past weeks. Who knew velvet could be so versatile. For some reason I had it in my mind that it had to be super dressy. Apparently not.

  1. I'm such a fan of the skirt. The length is really nice. And I'm currently obsessed with velvety things. I recently picked up this fun velvety number in Australia and I can't wait to find more!

Also, I second Kallie... your photos are not only always great, they're super consistent in style too, although you've got different photographers. How do you do that?

  14. Great skirt, I love it with the white blouse. I wish it were warm enough here to be able to wear knee socks and not cover them up with thick skirts, le sigh.

  33. Eeek I've been on the lookout for a swirly velvet skirt but have had no luck thus far. It's pretty much the winter version of the suede mini skirt. :) Love your swirling shots and how you dressed it down with the knee socks and sweater!
